“Demo II” CD
Con un estilo muy en particular, que hasta el momento nuestros oídos musicales nunca antes había experimentado (refiriéndonos en cuanto a bandas cristianas, claro!) y acompańada musicalmente por un violín y un violonchelo, arranca el poderoso Demo II de los polacos de
Illuminandi. Trabajo realizado en el ańo 2002, llamativo no por un arte de tapa multicolor sino sencillamente en una gama de grises, nos encontramos con un contenido de ALTO VOLTAJE!!!
Illuminandi presenta una variedad de géneros, entre ellas predominando el Metal Sinfónico, luego el Hardcore y hasta algún clima Gótico. Esta variedad es lo que lo caracteriza, y por supuesto el gran número de personas que la componen, ya que son 7 y seamos sinceros es difícil de llevar a cabo un común acuerdo!.
Comprendiendo 3 temas, “Who Will Set Me Free..?”, “The Light” (versión en ingles) y “…so We…” y con una duración de casi 13 minutos nos dimos el lujo de escuchar un demo que cumplió con las expectativas esperadas. Como bonus en el mismo CD que recibimos,
nos deleitamos con un concierto en vivo (8 tracks), que a destacar a nuestro criterio el mejor tema fue “The 40th Day”, canción identificada por contar con muchos ritmos desiguales que a la ves se acoplan de muy buena manera.
Concluyendo con este comentario te decimos que continúes alentando a aquellas bandas que la vienen batallando desde lo + Under, y como aliento a tales le decimos…
“Todo lo que respira alabe y siga alabando por 100pre a JAH!!!”.

Das “Demo II” von Illuminandi hatte Jens ja schon in letzten Heft positiv erwähnt, und mittlerweile liegt es in einer erweiterten Edition vor, indem den dre Studiotracks noch acht Livesongs beigefügt wurden (man hört allerdings nahezu kein Publikum), wobei sich “Kto mnie wyzwoli…?”, “Swiatlosc” und “…wiec My…” allesampt doppeln und man auf eine Gesamptspielzeit von knapp 50 Minuten kommt. Daß die Band ihren komplexen Gothic Metal auch live ohne Tricks und mehrfachen Boden umzusetzen in der Lage ist, davon konnte ich mich im Mai 2004 in Leipzig überzeugen (trotz des den einen oder anderen Wunsch offenlassenden Sounds, was übrigens auch für die hier vertretenen Aufnahmen gilt, denen m trotz gar nicht mal so undifferenzierten Klangbildes einen gewissen undergroundigen Charme attestieren muß und bei dem man das Fehlen der Finanzen für einen “richtigen” Mitschnitt, wie ihn Metal Mind mit zahllosen Bands in Krakow veranstalten, überdeutlich bemerkt). Wie die Band “richtig”klingd, das unterstreichen die drei Studiosongs mehr als deutlich, und sie machen klar, daß Illuminandi zu den originellen Vertretern ihrer Zunft gehören. Erstenssingen sie in Polnisch (das weiß der Stammleser schon aus Jens’ Review, der Nicht-Stammleser hat es anhand der genannten Songtitel bereits ernahnt), zweitens fahren sie oftmals höhere Tempei auf, welche andere Gothic Metal-Bands locker in den nächsten Sumpf schieben, und drittens verziechten sie auf einen Keyboarder, haben statt dessen mit Patrycja Pyzińska eine Violinistin und Antonina Kraszkiewicz eine Cellistin an Board. Letzhenannte hat zwar besonders in den heftigen Metal-Ausbrüchen akute Probleme, sich akustisch gegen die anderen Instrumente durchzusetzen, aber wenn’s mal ruhriger wird, entspinnt sie ihrem Instrument wunderbar warme Linien (höre beispielweise das Intro zu “Kto mnie wyzwoli…?”). Währenddessen ist Patrycja eher für schneidende Höhen verantwortlich, die an machen Stellen (das wiederum hat CrossOver-Kollege Christoph Haustein festgestellt – und er hat recht damit) durchaus an die Violinen-arbeit in Believers “Dies Irae” erinnern, an manchen anderen Stellen aber leicht folkige Töne hervorzaubern, wodurch bisweilen fast der Eindruck entsteht, Illuminandi seinen Skyclad in Gothic Metal übersetzt. “Kielich” etwa macht seinem Namen (übersetzt heißt das “Reiter”)alle Ehre und spurtet streckenweise in wildem Galopp über die Ebenden, während “Alleluja” Patrycja ans Frontmikro wechseln sieht (auch dort kann sie überzeugen), wenn sie nicht gerade ein eher orientalisch gefärbtes Thema spielt, das die Gitarrenfront aus Jan Trembacz und Aleksander Kozioł gern aufnimmt. Jan ist nebenbei auch noch für den mänlichen Gesangsteil zuständig, meist mit einer mäßig hohen, leicht klagenden, Klarstimme agierend, aber bedarfsweise auch mal herzhaft brüllend oder in “…Więc My…” gar gar herb shoutend. Sonderlich eingängig agieren Illuminandi nicht, aber zumindest einige Ohrwurmpassagen haben sie eingebastelt (beispielweise den simplen, aber wirkungsvollen Chorus in “Alleluja” oder die erwähnten Galopp-Passagen in “Kielich”), und ihre Kompositionen bleiben stets nachvollziehbar, auchwenn noch nicht ganz jedes Break dort sitz, wo es im Sinne des Songflusses eigentlich sitzen sollte (in einigen Fällen dürfte der kleine Bruch gewollt sein). Zerrissenheitsgrade wie bei Haggard braucht man bei Illuminandi nicht zu befürchten (ich erinnere mich noch gut an die Hilflosigkeit großer Teile des Publikums, als Haggard 1998 auch live mal eben reine Klarinettenstücke, allerdings keine der herausragenden Art, einstreuten – was nach einer brillanten und geschlossenen Performance von den damals gerade “Widow’s Weeds” herausgebracht habenden Tristania vermutlich keine glückliche Wahl war), denn hier werden nicht einzelne Vesatzstücke zusammenhanglos aneinandergereiht oder gar parallei intoniert, sondern der ganze Song an sich steht in Mittelpunkt. So soll essein, und deshalb gehören Illuminandi zu den größten Hoffnungsträgern im Gothic Metal, die dem vielbeklagten Einheitsbrei eine kompetente und orginelle Mixtur entgegensetzen können und jetzt im Prinzip nur die logistischen Möglichkeiten brauchen, um ihre Vorstellungen eines außergewönlichen Gothic Metal einer breiteren Öffentlichkeit (in Polen sind sie schon recht bakannt, in Deutschland noch ein echter Geheimpt) nahebringen zu können. THE BEGINNING…
This band from Poland fills up their musical canvas with keys, violins, cello, bass, drums, guitars, along with female and male vocals. Somewhat slow, doomy, and plodding, it’s pretty powerful. The lead-off track (“Who Will Set Me Free?”) has lyrics printed in English, but I could swear it’s Polish. The theatrical “…So We…” features a call/response vocal approach somewhat likened to Bloodgood’s “Crucify,” only again sung / growled in Polish. This 15-track CD includes their 2000 demo, their 2002 demo, and 8 live tracks – all of decent sonic quality. Both the live and demo versions of “The Cup” are reminiscent of Believer’s opera/thrash experiments, with its speedy violin and guitar work. [Bombworks]

Illuminandi – The Beginning, Bombworks Records
Illuminandi is a promising and upcoming gothic metal band from Poland. Their first two demos (from 2000 and 2002) are now on one CD with some live material (from 2004). Bombworks Records remastered the material and released it. The music was reviewed earlier this year, so scroll down to find this review. The fascinating combination of metal with cello and violin makes me wonder what a new studio effort will sound like. So, let me express my wish to hear new material soon!

Illuminandi – Demo II, Independent
The Polish band Illuminandi consists of seven people. This line-up includes a violin and a cello player. I can’t say I’ve ever heard a band like lluminandi before (though the combination with string instruments isn’t new), and in this case that must be taken as a compliment. Their music can be described as Slavonic gothic metal with a touch of classical music. But, as if that’s not enough, there are influences from hardcore and death metal
(mainly vocally). All these elements are mixed in a convincing manner. The production is good, but could be better. The songs, however, are appealing. A song like The Light and …Wiec My are great to listen to. Demo II only
has three songs. The burned CD I received also contains eight live tracks, proving that Illuminandi can pull things (including strings) off in a live setting as well.

ILLUMINANDI – Demo II (Released 2003)
Formed in 1998 Illuminandi hail from Poland. The band has already issued one demo that contained 4 songs and now in 2003 they have their new Demo 2 available containing 3 tracks. Illuminandi plays an interesting mix of metal with string instruments. It is pretty difficult to classify them as a death metal band since much of the music is a combination of clean vocals, metal and death metal growl. It has a lot of the elements of goth, dark mixed into the symphonic parts. Throw in a little doom at times, some female vocals and the description is complete. The first comparison that came to mind was the Romanian band GOD although Illuminandi are more atmospheric based than GOD. It is always a danger when styles like metal and strings are mixed that the music is either over the top or underwhelming. Illuminandi manage to strike a nice balance between the guitars and cello/violins. The music is both interesting and rich sounding. If you have heard metal with violins before but didnt think much of it this is a demo to listen to. The violins are not drawn out but move at a pace all their own. The cello supports the music very well. The alternating death growl and clean vocals make for a nice touch. Most of the lyrics are in Polish which makes understanding them for me a little challenging but it is clear on the English song who the band is singing about. The best thing on this cd is that the production is better than most demos, and even some label releases. This helps the string instruments fit into the music without making them too loud or relegating them to strict background noise. Illuminandi has a strong demo release with their 3 song demo. It would be nice to see them work for a more faster paced sound and let the goth elements find their way out of the music. This band is just waiting to let loose. Lets hope someone hears their talent and gets them moving on a full length.

Illuminandi blends carefully dark metal with some folk influences that gives as a result this beautiful MCD with three excellent compositions full of melancholy and sadness. This band has really good musicianship and that allows them to create multiple enchanting arrangements through this compositions that deliver interesting feelings. The vocal harmonies are one of the essential features here taking the listener to dark woods and landscapes of pure ethereal beauty. One of the main things here is the violin that creates sad melodies and arrangements through all the compositions making things even more beautiful yet powerful and aggressive enough to appeal to a pure metal audience. I have to say that three tracks are enough to see the talent of this guys but it surely leaves you wanting more from Illuminandi.

Gothic Metal in polnischer Sprache ist mir bisher noch nie untergekommen. Entsprechend überraschend ist der erste Höreindruck. Die Musik bekommt dadurch, wahrscheinlich unfreiwillig, eher folkige Züge. Wobei der traurig melancholische meist klare Gesang, so gar nicht dazu passen will. Die Musik hat aber durch den Einsatz einer Violine durchaus auch schwungvollere Züge, was die drei Stücke erstaunlich abwechslungsreich macht. Vom bekloppten Name der Band sollte man sich nicht täuschen lassen. Die Jungs haben wirklich ihre Qualitäten und man wird hoffentlich noch einmal, vielleicht mit originelleren Namen, von ihnen hören. www.illuminandi.kdm.pl

13-minutowe demo zespołu z Dębicy. Zespół w obecnym składzie gra od 1999 roku, a demo zostało zarejestrowane rok później. Zespół sam siebie zalicza do sceny chrześcijańskiego rocka, no i nie myli się. Muzyka ILLUMINANDI to połączenie lekkiego gotyku z piosenkami wprost a “Oazy”. Utwory nasycone są smyczkami (wiolonczela, skrzypce), które zdominowały gitary, odzierając utwory z drapieżności, ale to pewnie efekt zamierzony (nagranie studyjne). Teksty to parafraza tekstów z Biblii, zaśpiewane dość siermiężnie – poprawnie, ale bez jakiegokolwiek polotu. W ostatnim kawałku pojawia się growling i jest już trochę lepiej. Muzyka może nie jest wyjątkowo przebojowa, ale trafia w ucho, jednak by wylecieć zbyt szybko drugim. Co do oceny subiektywnej, to przesłanie zespołu nie trafia do mnie zupełnie, a wręcz drażni i irytuje. /xcx/

Have you ever wondered what would happen if you mixed together heavy metal guitars, drums and vocals with classical instruments and the message of Jesus Christ…Well I won’t keep you guessing any longer, you would have the Polish group, Illuminandi. This group successfully blends heavy metal with the classical instruments violin and cello to make a very unique sound. Although some of the vocals are sung in English they are sometimes hard to understand but with the band having a English website with lyric translations that problem is an easy fix. So if you enjoy some very unique heavy metal music be sure to check out Illuminandi.

Melancholic and introspective, they nevertheless use a very good death grunt on some tunes. This is a very strong band.

Rating: 9.
Don’t let the fact that this is a demo disc bother you, this CD is a very near cousin to Opeth’s Damnation CD. This demo is not all acoustic/clean guitar, of course, but the emphasis in their music is on the stringed instruments. This means that there are a lot of clean guitar sounds as well as violin and cello. Also, almost all the vocals-male and female-are clean. Everything I have heard from Eastern Europe, particularly this type of progressive death metal, has been deeply interesting. Illuminandi bring to mind groups like Love History (The End Records) and Without Face (formerly Dark Symphonies, now on Elitist/Earache). Much heavier than gothic, and also without that trendy feel, Illuminandi may yet appeal to a cross-section of the doom, death, and gothic crowds, but especially to anyone who has a more mature taste in metal (once again, think Opeth’s Damnation). The inclusion of stringed instruments like violins is an added bonus. Fans of Undish and Paramaecium may both take a liking to them. The best thing about this combination of demos is that it sounds like a professionally recorded album, albeit on a small budget. With a label deal and some studio time this band will be able to produce some amazing music.

From Poland comes this band who started in the autum of -98.This is a 3-song demo recorded in winter/spring of 2002.
They base their sound on heavy guitars and alot of violins and cello’s.The
first song is a ballad singed in polish.Pretty good melody with violins and
clean vocals.The style they play can be described as dark symphonic rock
with a doomy touch.It has a lot of gothfeeling in it as well compared to
bands like therion and on thorns i lay, who is the nearest influence without
their female vocals.
The violins brings up a wonderful feeling in the music wich i hope they
continue to use on future releases.The last track is different from the
first two songs.It is more brutal with heavy growls and female vocals but
still in the gothic/dark style.The lyrics are christcentered and very good.
I’m really looking forward to hear more of this band who was a very nice
experience to hear.

Ten Zawilec to pewnie się nudzi tam u siebie w Dębicy i cały czas planuje jakiś niecny spisek… ten materiał jest również od niego… pewnie niektórzy z was stwierdzą, że fajnie jest mieć takiego znajomego, który podsyła kapele do recenzji, ale jest jedno małe “ale”! ILLUMINANDI jest zespołem, który wykonuje według mnie coś, co nazywa się melodyjnym rockiem tak trochę podchodzącym pod dokonania ANKH. Oczywiście to nie jest to małe “ale” zaraz o nim napiszę! Otóż problem leży w tekstach (może to tylko ja mam ten problem?), które traktują o Bogu jego synu… właściwie to nie jest żaden problem w końcu one mi nie przeszkadzają. Tak, więc pozostawmy tą kwestie zamkniętą! Skupmy się na muzyce a z nią to jest już różnie. Według biografii zespołu twórczość ich jest mieszaniną fascynacji muzycznych jego członków, jej istotnym elementem jest połączenie ciężkiego brzmienia gitar z dźwiękami instrumentów smyczkowych. I pewnie drzemie w tym ziarenko prawdy, ale jak dla mnie niewiele tej ciężkości na tym demku… może gitary są za bardzo tłamszone przez wiolonczele bądź skrzypce a może ja jestem głuchy (tu jestem bliższy prawdy, hehehe). Nie powiem, żebym żałował, iż słucham ILLUMINANDI przecież nawet takiemu “brutalowi” jak ja także coś od życia się należy, ale żebym to robił często jest rzeczą niemożliwą. Gdyby na ten przykład cały materiał posiadał taką dawkę pozytywnej agresji jak w ostatnim utworze “…więc My…” gdzie gościnnie powył Bogdan Czernia i nie czuć już tak wszechobecnego ducha ANKH było by miodzio. Niestety na samym początku płytki robię się odrobinę za senny może to te kawałki, “Kto mnie wyzwoli…?”, “The Light” tak na mnie działają? Nie wiem. Wiem na pewno, że jeśli zespół nadal będzie istniał nie zważając na takie recenzje jak moja pokaże jeszcze, na co go stać naprawdę… a może są formacją, która lepiej wypada na żywo?!

Ciekawe ilu zaraz złapie się za dynie, a ilu orzeknie iż Pawlak zwariował, albo mu odjebało na dobre. Otóż ILLUMINANDI pochodzi i z miasta Jana i opon na każde drogi. Patrz wyżej. Do rzeczy. ILLUMINANDI pogrywa sobie chrześcijański metal… no ilu tam takich, o jakich wspomniałem na początku? Jako, że ja nie uprzedzam się do tego co kto o czym śpiewa, ale najpierw zwracam uwagę na muzę, wiec wziąłem ich na ruszt, a co. Taki BELIEVER na ten przykład czy SEVENTH ANGEL grali zajebistą muzę przyznając się otwarcie do swych przekonań. MORTIFlCATION już mniej ciekawie niemniej jednak ma w repertuarze parę ciekawych kawałków. Tak więc śpiewajcie sobie o dupie Krystyny, połaciach margaryny, brudnych zaropiałych cipach, diable Borucie co w starej straszy wierzbie, me sorry! To Rokita mieszkał w wierzbie! I innych cudach. Nie przeczę, że jak słyszę 2TM23 czy inne ARMIE to, sraczki może nie dostaję, ale jestem dziwnie zażenowany. Nie lubię tandety i tyle, w jakiej by nic była postaci, a że ktoś jest jeszcze przy tym ograniczony umysłowo, to już jego problem. Byłe mi się z buciorami brudnymi od swoich poglądów do koryta nie pchać, to ja człek spokojny jestem. No wiec wziąłem sobie to ILLUMINANDI, Zawilce, któren przysłał mi tych aniołków, mówił coś, że się niby Biblią w swych tekstach inspirują. Hm, raczej na żywca śpiewają jej fragmenty, co niestety wypada czasami żenująco. Bo takt kawałek, o wielce wymownym tytule “Alleluja”, to jak znalazł na mszę czy inną oazę. A reszta, taka sobie, nijaka rzeknę wprost Jest parę ciężkawych gitarek, kilka fajnych riffów, ale generalnie słychać jak koleś od gitary bawi się w swoje granie, wokal jakiś taki, jak przechodzący mutację koleżka z chóru, nie wiem, banalne to po prostu. Próbują wytworzyć nastrój, ale udaje im to się chwilami – “…i o tym drugim..”. Trochę twardsze “Nie lękaj się” i “Kielich” psute są przez kiepskie wokale i konsekwentne miękczenie i pedalenie muzyki. Zastanawiam się miejscami czy to jeszcze metal, albo w ogóle czy to w założeniu miał być ten tzw. chrześcijański metal. Ale pomijając już aspekty przymiotnikowe, jest to tanie bałałajkarstwo i rzecz mierna. Koniec kropka.

Hm. Postaram się podejść do tematu w miarę obiektywnie i olać fakt, że ich muzyka nazywana jest chrześcijańskim metalem. Muzyka to generalnie rzecz biorąc klimatyczne granie ze skrzypcami, wiolonczelą i czystym męskim głosem. bodajże w jednym miejscu śpiewa pani. ale dobrze, że nie miała ochoty na więcej, hehe. Śpiewający pan prezentuje się bowiem znacznie
lepiej – dysponuje on całkiem ciekawą barwą i pewnym opanowaniem głosu, choć mimo wszystko przed nim jeszcze trochę pracy. Pierwszy numer jest raczej wolny, żeby nie powiedzieć smętny, pierwszy raz włączyłem ten materiał po jakiejś imprezie i oczywiście momentalnie usnąłem. Następny kawałek (zaśpiewany po angielsku) jest już trochę bardziej żywy. Przyznam, że bardzo mi się tu podobają skrzypce i wiolonczela. grają sobie taką fajną, skoczną melodyjkę, heheh. A w ostatnim numerze to już przesadzili J, w sumie jest najszybszy, nawet taki trochę kopiący i pojawia się growling, heh. Na całym materiale rzuca się w uszy sprawność techniczna instrumentalistów i ciekawe rozwiązania aranżacyjne. Zresztą mi osobiście podobają się niektóre motywy. Tak prawdę mówiąc to wcale nie jest to takie złe, jak mogłoby się wydawać. Na pewno grać umieją i robią to z głową, przesłanie to inna kwestia, którą można pominąć. Zostało jeszcze brzmienie. jest ono czytelne, ale przydałoby się, żeby gitary “chodziły” trochę mocniej. chociaż z drugiej strony może właśnie taki efekt chcieli osiągnąć? Jeśli tak, to mi to nie za bardzo odpowiada. Fani klimatycznego grania powinni się zainteresować.

ILLUMINANDI – “Demo I” X’2000
Demon na płycie CD ; taką dziwną nowość przysłał mi ostatnio Zawilec. Hmm, mam bardzo mieszane uczucia w stosunku do tego wydawnictwa. Jakoś nigdy nie fascynował mnie Nowy Testament, nic więc dziwnego, że teksty pochodzące z Pisma Świętego nie znajdują raczej mojego uznania. Cóż, pozostawmy jednak aspiracje muzyków z boku i zajmijmy się tym, co słychać. A słychać całkiem ciekawy melodyjny Doom Metal, czasem bardziej Rock’owy, a czasem bardziej zahaczający o Death Metal. Wokalista nr 1 nie powinien samotnie (z instrumentami w tle) śpiewać, gdyż wychodzi mu to smętnie i blado. W utworze “Kielich” słychać inny, Rock’owy “brudny” i ostry głos, co dało niezły rezultat; choć i tak najlepiej realizuje się tu jeden z porykujących tu panów (szkoda, że nie podpisał się na swoim głosie, ha!, ha!) w growlach. Wokal żeński trzyma poziom, ale też niczym specjalnym się nie wyróżnia, przeciętny kobiecy głos. Najbardziej podoba mi się tu praca wysuniętych na plan pierwszy skrzypiec, rozbudowane partie wiolonczeli i gitar. Perkusja trochę nieśmiało pyka w tle, co jest nieco nudne.
Jakość nagrań jest bardzo dobra i w sumie nie jest taka zła ta muzyka; niestety nie jest chyba na tyle oryginalna, by zapaść w pamięć na dłużej. To pierwsze demo, poczekajmy na następne nagrania i zobaczymy co będzie dalej.

ILLUMINANDI – demo I, 2000
The stuffs I got from Poland for this issue are either Doom or Brutal Death Metal ones. ILLUMINANDI belongs to the first lot, so the tempo remains near the slow paces, it rarely speeds up (still, it does in the third song). It is a six-piece-band, so you can imagine that a cello and a violin accompany with the usual instruments, while vocal-wise the 4 songs are quite diverse, using female, clean and screaming male vocals. The lyrics are fortunately in
Polish, because they’re based on the book of lies, the Bible (they take it positively, of course). This language sounds a bit strange, but it doesn’t bother me, I like it. For a debut demo, both the sound and the music can be acceptable, though more originality won’t kill them next time.

ILLUMINANDI – Demo I
This also was provided for review by my good friend Wojciech of Poisonous
Piglet distro (addy in contact section), and is a local band from his area
of Dębica, in southern Poland. ILLUMINANDI’s debut demo is 4 tracks which
range from up tempo metal/rock (the last two songs: “Kielich” and
“Alleluja”, which also happen to be my favorites) to more morose passages.
These seem to be heavily influenced by classical music, and feature very
well played violin and cello melodies in addition to the metal guitars and 3
vocalists. Also present are some very cool ethnic melodies and percussion,
as well as exquisite female vocals in the track “Alleluja”. ILLUMINANDI’s
first demo is one which shows signs of promise (especially in the last 2
tracks), and if the band can work on making things a bit more memorable,
they will hopefully evolve into something very cool.

No cóż… Nie chciałbym krytykować zespół za obraną drogę, ale takie obnoszenie się ze swoimi ideałami jest niekiedy nie na miejscu. Generalnie łączenie rocka czy metalu z Bogiem to najzwyklejsze nieporozumienie. Teksty zaś będące parafrazą fragmentów Pisma Świętego to już kompletna porażka. Gdy dodam do tego niezbyt wysokich lotów muzykę, szkoda gadać… Doceniam wysiłki zespołu i fakt, że zamiast ślęczeć na ławce przed blokiem i zaczepiać przechodniów zabrali się za granie, ale mam prośbę, by nie przysyłali więcej swoich nagrań do nas! I nie dlatego, że jesteśmy jakimiś antychrześcijanami, ale po prostu nie znoszę takich kiczowatych zespołów. Wystarczy nam ARKA NOEGO, ARMIA, 2 TM 2,3 i cala masa innych…. Przepraszam, jeśli kogoś uraziłem.

Był sobie kiedyś w Polsce zespół, który nazywał się Nokturn… chyba Nokturn. Muzycznie tragedia, ale najistotniejsze jest to, że jeden z ich tekstów bardzo przypominał katolickie “Ojcze nasz…”. Dostawali za to kolesie cięgi w zine’ach, a później głupio się tłumaczyli, że nie są nawiedzonymi katolami, a w wręcz przeciwnie, ich tekst zaś jest parodią popularnej modlitwy. Ciekawe jak więc mam traktować Illuminandi? Jako kolejny żart? A może jako kilku nawiedzonych kolesi, którzy chcieliby zostać drugim Licą? Ostra muzyka rockowa, która ongiś była muzyką buntu (m.in. wobec religii) dzis k***i się, nastawia d**y jak może i zostaje posłanniczką Chrystusa (kimkolwiek by on nie był). Illuminandi to taki 2TM3,276 czy jak mu tam, tylko w takim bardziej melancholijnym czy wręcz anemicznym wydaniu. Nawet gdyby śpiewali po rumuńsku, a ja nie rozumiałbym tekstów, to nie zmieniałoby to faktu, że tylko ta “katolickość” może przyciągnąć do nich oazowych słuchaczy, bo muzycznie jest to wielka porażka. Jakieś skrzypeczki, ładnie brandzlujące gitarki i miły pan śpiewający o tym, by Jezus do niego przyszedł. Smutno mi się robi, gdy słucham Illuminandi… Mało brakuje bym nie zaczął płakać nad kondycją czegoś, za co kiedyś dałbym sobie rękę uciąć – podziemia. Czekam na metalowy zespół od Hare – Kriszna (żebym tylko wiedział jak to się poprawnie pisze – w tym momencie wychodzi moje dyletanctwo…).
